Congratulations to winners of the 2017 Nga Kupu Ora Awards 09 Nov 2017

CONGRATULATIONS to NZARE co-president Dr Agnes McFarland and NZARE member Prof Taiarahia Black (both of Te Whare Wananga o Awanuiarangi) whose book "Te Mauri o te Whare" is the WINNER in the Te Reo category of the 2017 Nga Kupu Ora Awards: Celebrating Maori Books and Journalism.

CONGRATULATIONS also to NZARE member Jenny Lee-Morgan (Te Kotahi Research Institute / University of Waikato) and Jessica Hutchings (independent researcher) whose book "Decolonisation in Aotearoa: Education, research and practice" is the WINNER in the non-fiction category of the 2017 Nga Kupu Ora Awards: Celebrating Maori Books and Journalism.

Both books were published by the New Zealand Council for Educational Research - NZCER Press who do a great job supporting a wide range of kaupapa Maori publications. NZARE - New Zealand Association for Research in Education has also been proud to support the various books in the Te Reo series edited by Agnes McFarland and Taiarahia Black.
